Ann Rutledge   Cert. Tr. (OTTIAQ)

Ann Rutledge has more than 30 years of solid experience in language service management, particularly as the senior director of language service departments for dominant North American companies such as Microcell Telecommunications and American Express. She is a national figure in the Canadian communications industry with proven experience in translation, copywriting, revision and terminology and is the author of Vocabulaire de l'imagerie médicale, published by the Office québécois de la langue française.


Several major companies have mandated her to lead their francization programs and advise them on topics such as employee selection, language services management, quality control, choosing external providers, evaluation tools and terminology databases, service efficiency and translation-related costs.


Ms. Rutledge is a graduate of the Université de Montréal in Linguistics with an MA in Translation and has a diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Music from McGill University. An OTTIAQ certified translator, Ms. Rutledge is also a member of the Language Industry Association (AILIA) and the American Translators Association (ATA), Company Division. She is the Past Chair of AILIA’s Board of Directors and its executive committee and is a member of the jury des Mérites du français in information technology, awarded each year by the Office québécois de la langue française.



Michel Frégeau

General Manager of Tessier Translation Inc., Michel Fregeau has over 25 years’ experience in language services administration at such international companies as Philips Electronics and Nortel Networks, as well as at large-scale translation and localization firms including Lionbridge Technologies, Bowne Global Solutions and CLS Lexi-tech. Michel is a member of the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ) and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Translation from Concordia University. He has worked as a self-employed translator for clients that include Philips Electronics, Harris Farinon, Eicon Technology, Memotec, Labatt, Ivaco, Sivaco, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Bank of Canada. As a member of the Comité interentreprises de la bureautique sponsored by the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF), Michel was involved in preparing the publications Le Vocabulaire du traitement de texte and Le Vocabulaire de la bureautique. He also assisted in the preparation of Comment gérer l’informatique en français, a project carried out in partnership with Digital Equipment of Canada, IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Philips Electronics.

Marc-André Robitaille

Director, Translation and Quality Assurance

Mr. Robitaille has a BA in Stylistics and Translation from McGill University as well as more than 25 years of experience in the language field. His knowledge and achievements have helped him progress quickly and take on numerous challenges in his career. As a specialized translator, contact person and reviser he has earned the recognition and respect of his clients, employers and colleagues. Serving as a valuable liaison, he clearly demonstrates to clients the quality of the company’s work.


Mr. Robitaille constantly strives to improve customer relations. With this in mind, he takes a partnership approach that enables him to work closely with clients and offer personalized service.


Colleagues view him as an excellent collaborator, mentor and experienced coach. He has broad translation experience in a number of areas, including finance, telecommunications, information technologies, administration and marketing. His translation and revision (rewriting) skills have been called on by such prestigious enterprises as American Express, Bell, CIBC, Fido Solutions, General Motors of Canada, Nortel Networks, Radio-Canada, Rogers, the Secretary of State of Canada and the Canadian Hemophilia Society.


He is the author of the short story Désâmée, which appeared in the collection entitled Dans l’antre de Griffintown, published by Requiem pour un livre.


Charles Lawton

Vice-President, Business Development

Mr. Lawton has more than 15 years of experience in sales. He has earned recognition from his colleagues, superiors, and clients as a sales representative, branch manager, and a sales development and client experience consultant. He has used much creativity to build a quality network of suppliers. This has allowed him to take on both the most difficult and the most rewarding business opportunities.


He worked as a sales representative for Microcell Solutions (Fido) before joining C.H. Robinson Worldwide. After 18 months he was promoted to manager, moving to Quebec City with his family to open a new branch for this international logistics and transport company. He was in charge of the branch’s business strategy (vision, mission, values and objectives), the business plan for recruiting, employee development, human resources and management, as well as for consumer sales and transport company development. He also helped oversee the administration of accounts receivable and achieve the branch’s positive results.


His transport and logistics clients included some of the largest manufacturers in Quebec such as Domtar, Cascades and Norampac, Soprema, IPL, Bombardier and Premier Tech.


A proud triathlete, he has completed four Ironman competitions.


Roxana Chiriac

Director, Project Management

Ms. Chiriac has over five years of experience in project management. Before joining Megalexis as a project manager in 2010, she managed localization projects for a major international translation firm where she oversaw projects and daily tasks for a team of translators.


Her initiative and strong work ethic helped her quickly climb the ranks at Megalexis to become Director, Project Management after just one year. She strives to maintain and improve client relationships by focusing on customer satisfaction. Ms. Chiriac is the main contact for all clients, who appreciate her discretion and ability to follow up in order to achieve the desired results.


Ms. Chiriac supervises two project managers to ensure that everything runs smoothly. She has taken localization and translation courses at the Université de Montréal and has studied languages in her native Romania.


Lisanne Lawton

Director, Operations

Ms. Lawton has been part of the Megalexis team for more than nine years. She manages the firm’s administrative operations and budget, while developing the human resources area that serves a large team of translators.


Ms. Lawton was also an internal management advisor for a large company during an interactive interface translation project designed for the Customer Service department. She managed quality control and monitored translation costs and deadlines.


Clients appreciate her professionalism and resourcefulness, and colleagues respect her ability to pull resources together so that projects are completed on time.


Before joining Megalexis, Ms. Lawton held various jobs in sports and tourism, which helped her to develop her independence and versatility. She has a BA in History with a minor in English Literature from Concordia University and studied Mathematics and Languages at Marianopolis College.
